I just realized, a lot of people have joined my friends list recently, so, they probably haven't seen The Disclaimer.

I use my LJ to vent, to contemplate, to talk about things. I very rarely stop to consider whether or not other people are interested in seeing it. (8-) Feel free to skip over anything that you don't want to read. It's okay, I won't hold it against you. (8-)

My external goal for these entries, if somebody reads them (as opposed to the more important internal goal, which is to try and find and maintain that peace with oneself that I mentioned briefly earlier today), is to get them to think about things, even if it's only for a second, even if it's only to make the conscious decision "I have no interest in this." It's the active versus passive argument. There's a difference between not noticing anything, and ignoring everything. If you choose to ignore, at least, you've made a choice. The active selection of a choice, that's the important thing.
